Somonauk Summer Recreation wishes to thank all the donors and attendees that helped make the 5th Annual Wheel O Meat fundraiser yet another successful event. The event was conducted at Rambo’s Bar & Grill and Mr. Gary Westlake made sure everything was in working order as well as donating to the event. Rambo’s staff took good care of all attendees as they made sure everyone was fed and hydrated. A few special thanks are in order to the following: DJ Art for the P.A. system for both this year and last, Mr. Alex Marshall for his contribution of a ½ beef once again, and 2 folks that stepped up to help with the event (Christy Grabow and Paul Kulbartz). Our donors are primarily from this area but there are new donors getting involved every year which expands our exposure. As in past years, we had businesses and families make cash contributions which allows for the purchase of more raffle prizes. We received great discounts from Clearview Farms (Morris) with the purchase of the hog and Freedom Sausage (Earlville) did the same with their hog as well as the ½ beef processing and sausage donations. This year there was a total of 12 raffles with 12 prizes in each (6 meat packages and 6 misc.).

100% of the event’s proceeds are designated for the construction of outdoor batting cages at the Community Park.

Thank you so very much to all of the following donors:
